Bill’s Scoops is a family-owned and operated store, run by the husband-and-wife team, Bill and Randa. The name itself is a nod to our signature bulk food shopping experience—where you scoop exactly what you need, reduce waste, and discover new ingredients along the way. From the beginning, our mission has been simple: to offer good food, friendly service, and a place where customers feel like part of the family.
If you’ve been to Kardinya Park in the past 15 years, chances are you’ve seen Bill. He’s the guy with the friendly face, helping customers find the perfect spice, recommending new products, and chatting recipes with whoever’s curious (or whoever would listen 😜). He’s become a bit of a local legend—jokingly accused by loyal customers of never taking a single day off. And honestly? They’re not far off.
While Bill keeps the floor running, Randa is the engine behind the scenes. She’s constantly discovering new products, working with suppliers, and tracking down the unique, the unusual, and the hard-to-find. When she’s not sourcing something wonderful, she’s in the kitchen testing recipes, many of which you’ll find on our website and in-store displays—real, wholesome meals using the very same ingredients you’ll find on our shelves.
Together, Bill and Randa have poured their heart and soul into the shop, working six days a week for over 15 years. It’s more than just a business—it’s their passion. Their dedication has turned Bill’s Scoops into more than a store; it’s a local institution, a gathering place, and a trusted resource for anyone seeking quality food and warm service.
